This workshop is for the student who is familiar with the needle-turn method of hand appliqué, and is ready to take on some new challenges.

Part 1 will cover: different ways of making stems, reverse appliqué, appliqué off-the-block and back-basting (2 methods).  Back-basting is a template-free technique that will eliminate the need for constantly slipping fabric pieces under a plastic overlay. This technique makes it so much easier to manage your project.

In Part 2, students will prepare to assemble a block either by using the traditional techniques (plastic underlay and templates) or by back-basting. 

Pattern is included in the workshop fee. Please pick up the pattern at the next Guild meeting.
