Marie-Claire Charette is known as La Quilting Coach. Her passion is to share her quilting and sewing skills with others. A bilingual teacher, her teaching journey began by giving quilting classes and bag making in Ottawa, almost 20 years ago. Today, she keeps busy by giving various workshops and presentations in stores and at guilds, organizes quilting retreats and has her own little quilting/sewing school in Orléans Ontario, Canada. Frustrated and intimidated by quilting big quilts on her domestic machine, she explored the world of Quilt-as-you go techniques. She created a repertory of 9 techniques so that she could take any regular pattern and transform it as a QAYG. She is now happy to share her knowledge and experience of QAYG techniques with the quilting community.
